SPCA CRUELTY LINE
If you see ANY domesticated animal in danger, please call this phone number and give them as much information as you can.
THESE ARE THE PEOPLE MANDATED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND THE ONLY PEOPLE WITH THE LEGAL AUTHORITY TO HELP SAVE THESE ANIMALS.
Please do NOT call the SPCA shelter as they are a different part of the organization and are unable to help.
Over the last couple of years, we realized that a very important part of changing the plight of domesticated rabbits in this province is to educate people about domesticated rabbits.
Without the education, we are only "band-aiding" the situation
For this reason, along with the education we provide through our
website, social media and direct contact one-on-one, we have
started to offer an education program to groups of people who are
interested in learning more about rabbits, their nutritional needs,
proper housing, medical concerns and the differences between
domesticated rabbits and snowshoe hares that are native to Nova
If you are interested in us coming to talk with your group, please
send us an email so we can
arrange a date and time that we can join you.
Also, please take a look at our Library to see some of the articles
written by our volunteers, links to articles on RABBIT.ORG and
info-graphics we have found to be helpful and informative.
Please contact us if you have questions or concerns!
We look forward to hearing from you!
